Cost Control Engineer- (EPC)

One of our prestigious clients “Italian-Argentine multinational corporation)”  is looking for “Cost Control Engineer- (EPC)”, Thane, Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage cost budgets, forecasts, and reports.
• Align cost controls with project milestones, deliverables, and objectives.
• Monitor project expenditures vs. budgets; perform variance and trend analysis.
• Report physical progress, actual man-hours, incurred costs, and schedule status.
• Evaluate cost impacts of change orders and scope variations.
• Assess financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Support contingency planning and overall financial health of the project.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with project management, procurement, and finance.
• Improve cost control tools, methodologies, and systems (e.g., Excel, Primavera, Power BI).

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting abilities.
• Proficient in cost management tools (Excel, MSP, Primavera P6).
• Understanding of Change Management, Risk/Opportunity Management, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Problem-solving skills in project environments.
• Leadership, time-management, and ability to work independently or in teams.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 8–12 years of relevant cost control experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, or processing industries.
• Advanced Excel and cost database experience.
• Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Primavera Unifier (highly desirable).
• Experience in EPCM/EPC project cost control environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in engineering
• PMP certification and or Project Management certification courses if any would be advantageous.
• Familiarity with Power BI or equivalent dashboard tools
