This position will be instrumental in executing designs using advanced tools, conducting simulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and cost-effective engineering solutions. The Design Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, prototype development, and the establishment of technical documentation standards.
As part of a dynamic and innovative team, the Design Engineer will work on a variety of projects ensuring compliance with engineering standards and driving excellence in product design and performance.
| Responsibilities : Develop design concepts, specifications, drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM). Perform stress analysis and understand mechanics of materials under static and dynamic loads. Execute mechanical designs using CAD/CAM and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks or equivalent). Conduct simulations and virtual testing to refine designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and product management. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively. Create and maintain technical documentation including design specifications and reports. Research and implement new design methods and technologies. Oversee prototype development and testing. Ensure compliance with engineering standards and best practices. |
| Preferred Skills |
| Experience in designing special purpose machines, heavy engineering products or car parking systems. |
| Knowledge of material handling equipment and structural engineering. |
| Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. |
| Qualification |
| •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution. |
| • 4–6 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in heavy engineering or material handling equipment. |
| • Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and simulation tools |
| • Strong knowledge of GD&T, welding symbols, sheet metal, and weldment design, Hydraulic Systems. |
| • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and structural design. |
| • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. |
| •Strong communication and organizational abilities. |
| • Self-motivated with attention to detail and initiative. |
| • SAP Knowledge will be added advantage. |
